Concussion Facts
There are many facts about concussions in football, but on this page I will share more of fun facts than all of the boring facts around the world. Hopefully these facts will make you think twice about concussions in football.
NFL:
- Of NFL players 60% of them have had a reported concussion in there carer
- there are about 175 concussion per year
- 10% percent of players have a concussion every year
- NFL players 30- 50 are 19x more likely to get dementia
- NFL players 50 years or older are 5x more to get dementia
- only two teams have neuro doctors
High School:
- 6 high school players died in 1999
- in 1 game/practice out of 100,000 high school football players there are 47 concussions
College:
- 5 head injuries per year with incomplete recovery
