Real World Examples
There are two examples I researched who suffered concussions and now they are either dead or changed for ever. My examples are George Viger, a former 49er, and Jaquan Waller.
George Viger was a lineman for the 49ers when he suffered a very bad concussion during a game and went into a coma. After the concussion he nearly died. Because of this his memory has been fading since 1982. Now he lives off notebooks, and if something is not written in his notebooks, it doesn't exist.
My second example was Jaquan Waller a very good high school running back from J.H. Rose High School. During practice he suffered a concussion and was evalulated by a doctor. The doctor cleared him to play two days, but during the game he was takled and minutes after he collapsed on the side of the field and died. When he died he was only 16.
These stories show how dangerous concussions can be.
